Catholic Charities celebrated with the community during an Open House and ceremonial ribbon cutting on November 29th. “We look forward to celebrating the amazing work of so many people who make a difference in the lives of children and families,” said Catholic Charities’ Acting Executive Director Julio Coto. “Our Agency operates many programs throughout Middlesex County which improve the quality of life for people in New Brunswick and its surrounding communities, and we will continue as a resourceful partner to serve the citizens of New Brunswick and beyond,” said Coto.
In addition to the two early learning child care centers, Catholic Charities programs in New Brunswick include immigration services, a homeless shelter for men, housing for people with special needs who were previously homeless, counseling services, supervised visitation and Unity Square - a 37-block community revitalization project. Last year, Catholic Charities operated more than 100 programs and served more than 50,000 people in the counties of Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, and Warren including 1,458 children who received affordable quality child care services.
