"If only Liz could find affordable after school care, she could go back to work to supplement her family's income.…"
"Mary needs to get away from her current living situation. She is working full time. If only she had the money for a security deposit, she could move into her own apartment..."
We hear stories every day of families who struggle to make ends meet because of an unexpected expense, or family emergency, things that don't fall neatly into a funding category. Sometimes, all these families need is a boost, a little help to get on their feet and get back on track. Please consider a one-time or recurring donation to help a family facing crisis, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year to help them remain independent and self sufficient.
Sandra is a single parent with three children, the youngest of whom has severe special needs. Without Dad in the picture, Sandra is left to her own resources to meet her children's many needs. Sandra takes her son to his many doctor appointments, often a far distance from their home. This has created a lot of stress for Sandra to deal with. Please consider helping someone like Sandra.
Rose supports her family members as they battle multiple health problems, while she herself battles cancer. Recently released from the hospital, Rose coordinates the many doctor appointments for her elderly parents as well as for her two children, and struggles financially to make ends meet for her family. Please consider helping a family like Rose's.
More New Jersey residents are in poverty now than in the past five decades. An estimated 2.8 million New Jersey residents—just under a third of the state’s population—earn less than the amount required to make ends meet; and NJ's most expensive housLogouting areas are right here in our diocese, where the fair market rent for a 2 bedroom apartment is $1654.00. People who live paycheck to paycheck are often 1 short step away from homelessness or other family crisis. You can help us make a real difference in people's lives.
