  • Intensive in-home counseling for DYFS referred families & youth

  • 24/7 pager coverage; must be available to work evenings and occasional weekends
Requirements:

  • Driver’s license and the ability to travel & navigate through Middlesex County in own vehicle

  • Conduct at least 3 home visits each with 45 Abbott District Families
  • Assess family needs and assist with finding necessary services, setting goals and function as a liaison between home and school
  • Coordinate monthly family events to enrich and inform families of community services
  • Responsible for attending all trainings, I&RS meetings and FDC classes
  • Report directly to Center Director and must have monthly meeting with Family Worker Coordinator and work cooperatively with New Brunswick District personnel

Requirements:

  • BA/BS
  • FDC Credential Preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal communication and computer skills
  • Ability to maintain detailed files
  • Driver’s license for travel as needed in multi-county service region
