For those in the community afflicted with or affected by HIV, life can be made even more difficult by a lack of access to much needed medical resources. The Psycho-Social Day Group provides group counseling services to those adults who are HIV infected or HIV affected. Case management is available to persons living with AIDS in combination with emergency assistance that includes support for rent, utilities and food. HIV Mental Health services, located in Bridgewater and Flemington, provide counseling services to HIV patients needing treatment for the emotional and psychological issues that accompany a diagnosis of HIV. Family and group therapy are offered in addition to the medical services for HIV patients available at St. John's and are provided at no cost to eligible patients through a federal grant from the Ryan White Foundation.
